Key Features

• Improves battery charging
  The smart battery sensor measures the voltage directly at the battery terminals, ensuring accurate readings and avoiding errors caused by voltage loss due to cable resistance. This ensures the correct charging voltage for optimal battery health.
  For lead-acid batteries, temperature data is used to adjust the charging voltage accordingly. Cold batteries require a higher charging voltage, while hot batteries require a lower charging voltage to prevent damage. For lithium batteries, temperature data is used to prevent charging at temperatures that are too low, as charging in such conditions can permanently damage the cells.

• No cables
  The Smart Battery Sense communicates wirelessly with one or more solar chargers via the VE.Smart network, which uses Bluetooth Smart technology. This allows multiple solar chargers connected to the same 12V, 24V or 48V battery to simultaneously access the transmitted information. The Smart Network is easily set up using the VictronConnect app.

  Installing the Smart Battery Sense system is simple and straightforward. Start by connecting the two lugs of the unit to the battery terminals. Then attach the Smart Battery Sense unit directly to the battery body using the self-adhesive strip.
